AI receptionist booking controls and pricing
Decide what the receptionist can book, how it handles prices, and set call and notice limits.
4 min read
You stay in charge of what the AI receptionist is allowed to do. The booking controls let you set exactly how it behaves on a call, from pausing bookings to how it handles prices.
The controls you have
From the AI Receptionist settings you can shape its behaviour, and anything it cannot or should not do becomes a callback for your team instead, using a fallback message you set.
- Bookings on or off: pause new bookings and take callbacks instead.
- Allowed job types: limit what it can book (for example MOTs and services only).
- Minimum notice: stop it booking anything too soon.
- Pricing mode: give only approved prices, give no prices, or send price questions to a callback.
- Call length: cap how long a call can run.
How pricing modes work
Pricing is where most garages want control. You can let the receptionist quote only the prices you have explicitly approved, tell it to never give prices, or have it log a callback for any price question so the team can price the job properly. It never estimates or makes a price up.
FAQ
What happens to anything it cannot handle?
It takes the caller's details and logs a callback for your team, with a fallback message you can set. Nothing is left to chance or guessed at.
