Setting up your AI receptionist (knowledge & voice)

Build the business knowledge it answers from, set the voice and greeting, and go live on a number.

4 min read

Before the AI receptionist takes calls, it needs to know your business and how you want it to sound. Setup is three parts: knowledge, voice and a phone number.

Business knowledge

The knowledge base is what the receptionist answers from: your services, opening hours, location and common questions. You can build it manually, then review and approve it. Nothing goes live until you approve it, so you stay in control of what it says.

Voice, greeting and number

Choose the voice and set the greeting callers hear, then assign a phone number to take the calls. Once it is live, saving your settings pushes any changes to the live line.

Calls open by letting the caller know the call may be recorded, then the receptionist introduces itself and asks how it can help.

FAQ

Can I change the greeting or voice later?

Yes. Update them in the AI Receptionist settings and save, and the change is pushed to the live line.
