Taking card payments with Stripe
Send customers a pay-by-card link for any invoice. They pay online, the invoice is marked paid, and the money goes to your own Stripe account.

Connect your own Stripe account and you can send customers a link to pay any invoice by card. The money lands in your Stripe account, not Mechanics Hub's.
How it works
Once Stripe is connected, open an invoice and use Copy payment link. Send the link to the customer by text, email or WhatsApp. They pay by card on a secure page, and the invoice is marked paid automatically.
The payment link page only lets the customer pay what's outstanding, and won't take payment for an invoice that's already paid or cancelled.
- Connect Stripe once in Business Settings → Payments.
- Copy the payment link from any invoice.
- Paid invoices update automatically.
Fees, payouts and refunds
Because it's your Stripe account, payouts, fees, refunds and disputes are handled in Stripe on your normal Stripe terms.
FAQ
Does Mechanics Hub hold my money?
No. Payments go to your own connected Stripe account. Mechanics Hub never holds your customers' payments.
Is the payment link in the invoice email?
The invoice email lets the customer view and download the invoice. To take a card payment, copy the payment link from the invoice and send it to them.
