Connect your own Stripe account with your API keys so you can send pay-by-card links. Keys are validated and stored encrypted.

Connect Stripe to send customers pay-by-card links for their invoices. It's your own Stripe account, so payments go straight to you.
Find your Stripe keys
Log in to Stripe and open dashboard.stripe.com/apikeys.
- Copy your Publishable key (starts pk_live_ or pk_test_).
- Reveal and copy your Secret key (starts sk_live_ or sk_test_).
Connect them in Mechanics Hub
In Business Settings → Payments, paste both keys and choose Connect Stripe. Mechanics Hub checks the keys, registers a webhook on your Stripe account so paid invoices update automatically, and stores the keys encrypted.
Tip: connect your test keys first to try it out, then switch to your live keys.
After you connect
Open any invoice and use Copy payment link to send the customer a link to pay by card. Fees, payouts and refunds work on your normal Stripe terms, directly between you and Stripe.

Do I need a Stripe account already?
Yes, you connect your own. If you don't have one, create one with Stripe, then paste your keys in Business Settings → Payments.
Can other users see my Stripe keys?
No. Keys are stored encrypted and can't be read back from the app.
